Bon is the ancient pre-Buddhist religion of Tibet. There are three main forms - the prehistoric Shamanistic Bon, Yungdrung Bon, and its more modern form which has adopted and absorbed much from Buddhism, to the extent that it is nowadays considered a fifth school of Tibetan Buddhism. The Bonpos have their own lineage of Dzogchen teachings.
