Wisdom Books Newsletter 16th January 2009 : Iss 79

Welcome to our first regular newsletter of 2009, our monthly round up of all that is new on the site; in fact it is well over a month since we last notified you of all the new releases that have appeared, so we are still playing catch-up!!

First of all we have news of new titles as featured below on our home page. Becoming Enlightened by the Dalai Lama considers the Buddha's core teachings on interdependence and karma and continues the fine series of Jeffrey Hopkins translations of works by His Holiness, the most recent previous to this being How to See Yourself as You really Are. The second of our home page new titles is the long awaited Manual of Light, containing two advanced expositions on the development of higher insight knowledge by the renowned Burmese scholar monk and meditation master Ledi Sayadaw.

We are delighted to tell you that Brilliant Moon is now back in stock and available to order. We have had a great many enquiries about this book since the first day that we advertised it, but things got complicated when the print-run almost immediately sold out leaving suppliers such as us with no stock to fulfil our orders; all due to circumstances beyond our control, and one of the hazards we face in this world of impermanence! The good news is that we now have plenty of stock of this in demand title available, and we are selling it at a great price of £18.00 which is a saving of 40% on the £30 retail price.

We now have copies of the Rigpa Diary, Earth - Ox Year 2009-2010, this high quality production which begins at the start of the Tibetan New Year (this year, 25th February) is beautifully illustrated and packed full with Buddhist anniversaries and special practice days; stock sells quickly as it is always very popular.
