Welcome to our monthly round up of all that is new on the site, as usual there are plenty of great new releases to inform you about so let's get going...

We are happy to have two great Zen titles on our home page. Eat Sleep, Sit the brand new English translation of the Japanese bestseller which provides a fascinating account of a man who gave up his comfortable job as a designer to undertake the harsh and strict ascetic training at Eiheiji, one of the most rigorous Zen training temples in Japan. To give you a taste, we have provided a generous extract for you to read, just click on the book and go from there. Another Zen title we now have is Dainin Katagiri's Each Moment is the Universe, which according to Publisher's Weekly, "conveys a zest for Zen understanding which differs from the calm inscrutability of other Zen Buddhists". The other two home page titles are also of great interest. Lotus Sutra by Gene Reeves is a fresh new and highly readable translation from the Chinese by a highly respected scholar and expert on the subject, who has been researching and teaching on the Lotus Sutra for over twenty years. Like a Heart So Dearly Needed for Liberation is based on the homage to the Buddha that the great Indian master and logician Dignaga wrote at the beginning of his Compendium of Means of Valid Cognition, this is a book you will find that Wisdom Books is one of the few places where you will be purchase it.

Listed below are more great new releases including the keenly awaited Essential Sangharakshita, Ringu Tulku's great little book Ngondro, radical Zen master Brad Warner's Zen Wrapped in Karma Dipped in Chocolate, and Nina Van Gorkom's translation of Perfections Leading to Enlightenment, a study of the ten good qualities according to Theravada Buddhism: generosity, morality, renunciation, wisdom, energy, patience, truthfulness, determination, loving-kindness, and equanimity.
