This month again we have plenty of new releases to inform you about.

Four great new titles are featured on the home page at present. Memories of Lost and Hidden Lands is the extraordinary life story of the renowned Nyingma Tibetan lama Khamtrul Rinpoche, and this books is very hard to acquire anywhere other than Wisdom Books. Oryoki and the Oryoki Chant is a complete explanation of the Tibetan monastic meal liturgy and its use and can be used by any Buddhist wanting to make meals into meditation practice. Mingyur Rinpoche’s Joyful Wisdom is the sequel to the best-selling Joy of Living and addresses the problem of anxiety in our everyday lives.

Seven years in the making, Lama Zopa Rinpoche’s Heart of the Path is an important and comprehensive work on guru devotion, on why we need a guru and how it is the very essence of the path. It is the result of over 50 different teachings Rinpoche has given over the past 3 decades, and provides unique insight into the mind of a great Lama who is guru to thousands of people throughout the world and who has worked tirelessly to bring authentic Tibetan Buddhist teachings to the West over the course of the last 40 years.

The world’s leading resource for Buddhist cinema, the US based IBFF comes to the UK, and the Barbican, for the first time. Part of The Many Faces of Buddhism series, the lineup of programmes at IBFF 2009 LONDON includes forty-six films from eighteen countries, with twenty-seven UK premieres and three discussion events. The film festival has come about through the Robert HN Ho Foundation. It is part of a series of events to coincide with the opening of a permanent Buddhist gallery at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, funded by the Foundation.
