Welcome to our June newsletter, here in London we are enjoying a relatively decent late spring / early summer, plenty of mild and intermittently sunny days.

Here is a brief overview of the four titles currently on our home page. Middle Way is the new book by the Dalai Lama and featured in a special newsletter we sent to you last week, needless to say it is currently one of our most popular titles and is still available at a great price of just £9.74. Fresh from the International Buddhist Film Festival comes a great film Buddha’s Lost Children. Shot over the course of a year by Dutch filmmaker Mark Verkerk in Thailand’s infamous Golden Triangle it follows the life of the remarkable Phra Ku Ba, known as the “Tiger Monk”. It is now available on DVD as a two-disc special edition and that means you get the movie along with over 3.5 hours of extras. We have posted a trailer of the movie onto the product details so just click on the link here to view. Andrea Willson’s Ten Thousand Days of Summer is a delightful biography of the Buddha written for children and it has illustrations by the renowned artist Andy Weber. Last but by no means least we have a great little book by an accomplished Tibetan Buddhist meditation teacher, Anam Thubten, No Self No Problem which explains in an easy-to-read manner how to dissolve all notions of ego identity. Read an extract from it here and you will see what we mean.

Other notable new releases include Mindful Path to Self-Compassion which offers skilful and effective ways to enhance the healing power of self-awareness, a new edition of the Chinese classic Sayings of Layman P’ang, Sharon Salzberg’s Guided Meditations for Love and Wisdom, a 2 CD package which offers 14 beginner-friendly meditations to help open heart and mind, In Such Hard Times continues Red Pine’s excellent series of translations of T’ang Dynasty master poets, this time Wei Ying-wu, and Shattering the Great Doubt is the late Master Sheng Yen’s explanation of the Chan practice of Huatou, which is similar to Koan practice. As usual, there are plenty of other new releases as listed below.

One event we would like to draw your attention to is Glastonbury Tibet Week running from 8th-12th July, which amongst other things going on in Glastonbury that week features the construction of a sand mandala by the Tashi Lhunpo monks from Bylakuppe, South India. So if you are thinking of taking a trip out west and paying homage to one of the most mystical towns in England you now the perfect reason to get on the road.
