Synopsis: Translations of a variety of texts covering three important views. The sutra view is given by Patrul Rinpoche; Saraha and Maitripa write directly about mahamudra and indirectly about dzogchen, while other texts, including works by Garab Dorje and Chetsangpa, deal with the presentation of the view of dzogchen and the way to practise it. These twelve traditional teachings show us how to recognize one's own enlightened being as infinite awareness free of all effort and artifice. Included are four chapters of advice and reflections by the author, adapted from his lectures to students of dzogchen.
