Synopsis:
Sale edition. This book presents instructions on the practice of Chod, or "Cutting Through Ego Clinging", from the Gelugpa Ganden tradition as revealed by one of the greatest Tibetan masters of modern times, Kyabje Zong Rinpoche. The instructions are offered with the engaging directness, wit, and stories for which Rinpoche was legendary. He tells miraculous stories of the Ganden oral lineage masters and then gives detailed explanations of the actual practice, including such topics as the degree of fear "necessary" for Chod practice and how "to remember dream and death, morning, moon, and night."

Also provided are the Chod sadhanas for chanting in English.

"A fabulous book - uplifting and enlightening. All Chod practitioners will find it useful and enlightening, regardless of their particular lineage affiliation." Glenn Mullin.

"Chod offers us a method to forcefully cut off the source of our most undesirable negativities - self-cherishing and ego-grasping. Kyabje Zong Rinpoche was the foremost master of the Ganden oral tradition." Gehlek Rimpoche.

"Those who had the good fortune to listen to the late Kyabje Rinpoche will recognize the immediacy, freshness, and humour of this great master's teachings captured beautifully in this wonderful book." Geshe Thubten Jinpa.
