Deluxe edition of a documentary film on Bokar Rinpoche. Renowned as one of Tibetan Buddhism's great spiritual masters, Bokar Rinpoche devoted his life to the practice of meditation while living in exile in the isolation of a small mountain monastery.

As the spiritual son of Kalu Rinpoche, Bokar Rinpoche was close to the Dalai Lama and become the meditation master of the 17th Karmapa. This film invites us to discover the everyday life of a spiritual master. Through his teachings, the Kagyu master Bokar Rinpoche proposes a real introduction to Tibetan Buddhism that, far from resembling an esoteric and inacessible philosophy, is presented as a universal approach to the elementary mechanisms of happiness and suffering. For true and lasting happiness emanate from an inner peace that can only be found by cultivating altruism, love and compassion.

Rinpoche passed away in August 2005, a few months after the shooting of the last sequences of this film. For many Bokar Rinpoche's life served as a powerful inspiration and as an example of kindness, compassion, and universal love.

60 mins of extras includes interviews with Bokar Rinpoche, archives and shoot photographs, plus a 32 page booklet of teachings
